We are a niche travel company that mostly creates customised and personalised journeys for small groups of private travellers in Asia’s geographic frontiers. Taking place in exotic and untrodden destinations where nature and culture intersect, our tours put value on travel as learning and discovery: we include outdoor activities, maximise cultural exposure, and use tour leaders that are experts in local geography.
As a network of writers, photographers, artists, naturalists, explorers, and ethnographers, we are leaders in forging new Asian adventure circuits. Our tours play out at the special locations we have discovered during our own voyages, mostly alternative and emerging destinations where the experience is more exclusive and intimate.
Typical journeys mix natural and cultural activities, as well as attractions, in imaginative combinations. It is even possible to match travel with artistic endeavours in trips led by professional couches in each field – these instructional tours include travel photography, water-colour paintings, practical and authentic Asian cooking, traditional Asian embroidery, and other artistic activities – and the travel takes place in suitably inspiring destinations.
The tour itineraries featured in this website are carefully planned to deliver a meaningful experience of a given region, or type of activity, or artistic instruction. They offer rounded experiences and measured pace of travel. But it is also possible to use any of the featured tours as a starting point, and then we can adjust the itinerary according to your preferred timings, budget, interests, activities, and desired level of natural or cultural immersion.
Another option is to travel with us for a weekend or a few days during a sidetrip that can fit within your larger travel plans, particularly if you are travelling for business.
