We also do consultancy in the areas in which we specialize – particularly nature and culture tourism in China, and all matters of business and trade in Sichuan – as well as custom publishing. We can also help travellers with travel planning in China. Below is an elaboration of all the branches of our business.
Tourism Marketing & Development Consultancy
One of our associates, Victor Paul Borg, is an expert in international tourism. He has accrued considerable experience and knowledge about the international tourism trade, with a special focus on Asia, through his writing for some of the most eminent tourism trade publications. He knows what tourist want, what tourist routes are likely to be successful, what works and doesn’t work, and the whims of westerners travelling in China and Asia. And he can help you see things in a fresh way, and deliver your product and message in a way that reaches and rouses potential clients.
Travel Planning Service
Like to travel to China independently but your plan keeps hitting snags? China is not an easy place to travel to independently due to the language barrier, and it’s much harder to plan an independent trip from outside the country. Additionally, the country is so huge and varied that international guidebooks only scratch the surface in their coverage. And if you attempt to plan everything yourself from home you’ll end up spending substantially more than you need to – we can help, and even after you pay our fee, it will save you money than if you do it alone. Take domestic flights for example: some airlines advertise domestic flights in English websites that are substantially higher (sometimes more than 50% higher) than you would pay on the same flight in China. We can show you how to purchase flights in China and save money; the same applies for other services. We can even do all the bookings for you – that way you get the best deals both in terms of service and in terms of price. Contact us to discuss if interested.
Custom Publishing & Marketing
Very often, guidebooks or brochures or other publicity materials published in China, particularly western China, are colourful and good when it comes to the choice of pictures, but then are skimpy and uninspiring in their prose. Moreover, the English prose is often inelegant and unpolished, and full of Chinese idioms translated literally, without making much sense to a non-Chinese reader. These publicity materials also tend to lack practicalities such as maps, addresses, phone numbers, and so on. We do custom publishing that corrects all these shortcomings: we work by writing the English text first, and then doing the Chinese translation second – we have found that starting from the English leads to better bilingual prose than the other way round. One of our associates, Victor Paul Borg, has written or contributed to innumerable international guidebooks, especially guidebooks for Rough Guides and Time Out. He knows through his experience what captures the imagination of the readers, the level of practical details that are needed in any given case, and what’s the correct balance of words and pictures. We can do your custom publishing in the area of tourism and business; for graphic design and layout, we work in partnership with one of the best and most successful advertising and printing house in Sichuan.
Business & Trade Solutions in Sichuan
Another of our associates, Chen Yong, has been working in international trade for many years. He advises businesses in Sichuan in matters of marketing and selling, and he’s worked as an Export Manager for a conglomerate of companies. The local government also calls on Chen to deal with business delegations from abroad who would like to sell or buy locally, or set up factories locally – in this case, Chen Yong takes care of all their needs, elaborating on the laws and processes involved in doing business as well as bringing together potential partners. Through this line of work, Chen has cultivated all the essential contacts among industry players and government officials. He can help you in your business endeavours in Sichuan, whether you want to sell, buy, or set up a business: he speaks excellent English, he can translate documents both ways, he has all the contacts you might need, and he knows the local business environment and conditions inside out.
